Park Place
Park Place, formerly known as Village Avante, is a low-income housing community located within Morgan Hill. With parents residing within the community tending to work long hours to provide for their families, many don't get to spend as much time with their kids as they'd like to, sometimes causing youth to lead themselves down the wrong path. Living Above The Influence aims to mend this gap by providing after-school groups for teens, community activities, and community awareness sessions for parents, all free of charge.
Boys Club
Held every other week from 5:30pm-6:30pm, the Park Place Boys Club ran by Living Above The Influence helps bring the youth community within the area together in a positive environment.
Awareness Groups
At Park Place, awareness groups held by Living Above The Influence are held in the neighborhood's community room. These meetings are often supported by the Morgan Hill Police Department, in order to educate parents about current risks to youth from a more experienced perspective.
Friday Night Blast
Held every Friday evening from 5pm to 8pm, Friday Night Blast is a great way for Park Place friends & family to have good, safe fun. Social activities, food, family games, & more help to build community every week at this event.
Hearts & Crafts
Hearts & Crafts is an hour-and-a-half long session held every Tuesday evening at the Park Place Community Room from 5:30pm until 7pm. Here, kids & adults alike are supplied with weekly-themed materials to express themselves to their hearts' content.
